“During every man’s life journey, he or she would face and be encircled continuously by events, images, and activities, practically each day. Some are moving us, some were consumed as a manufactured burger, and yet some would make us to simply turn our sights away.
But artists, and it seems that only true artists, would not only try to draw inspirations from these ordinary objects, but also immerse them with their own imaginations. Thus, when these objects are being revealed by their paint brushes, with such agony or ease, it seems that they are taking totally different form. It has been transformed into art.”
Fanny Fancy is a self-taught artist from Taiwan. She started loving art since a young age. In her early audit years, she majored in fashion design in Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York.
But art remains as her true love. Fanny has been practicing various art formats and has been focusing on creating on mixed materials since 2010.
With her art, she hopes to make her audience feel relaxed. “People need to take pause and clear their minds, and then they can see arts”. Fanny would always say. Imaginations then can fly from there. The audience would put their own experiences, what they’ve recognized under the light of the day and what they’ve dreamed about in the dark of night and mingle them with the colors and shapes on the painting.
