作品描述

This painting is done mainly in acrylic paint, but also has some collage elements. I had been doing a lot of paintings from the ’mind map’ series, and those tend to be created with a slow deliberate pace. So this was a chance for me to let loose, be freer and broader, more intuitive and more physical, on the larger scale.

I associate the painting with some of the feelings I get from the drive into New York City, passing through that gritty part of New Jersey, that is both spread out in comparison to New York but still has a city flavor.
