Road to Nowhere, 2019
In this abstract work, the artist used a crashed car bonnet as a canvas. The reasons for using this unconventional base are as follows: rstly, the symbolic nature of the car and what it represents socially and emotionally, and secondly the relationship between the expressive quality of abstract painting and the real life narrative and scene of uncertain consequences as captured by the folded bonnet.
