"Is the embroidery tired? The cattle and sheep are going down the mountain. We make a fire by burning our own houses and bodies. Untie your red girth and sprinkle a bed of snow-white. All the water in the world ripples in your eyes... ..." Suddenly, all the winter's JIEQIs (marking the 24 divisions of the solar year in the traditional Chinese calendar) flash through to embrace the spring.That's how I feel when I see Yao Xingwen and his works...
